HRH The Duchess of Gloucester, officially opens ‘The Bradbury Den' at Chailey Heritage
'The Bradbury Den', an ultra-low-carbon class-room built with locally sourced, regenerative materials designed by BakerBrown studio is now officially open.
"After years of planning, fundraising and hard work, we are delighted to share that our Royal Patron, HRH The Duchess of Gloucester, officially opened ‘The Bradbury Den’ Wednesday, 3rd June 2026.
The Bradbury Den is a sustainable, low-carbon building constructed using locally sourced materials. As part of our Patchwork Farm, it provides an innovative indoor/outdoor environment - allowing it to be used in all weather, that will enhance the enriching and stimulating experiences of the children and young people we support, while creating new opportunities to engage with the wider community including school and community groups, who will learn about the environment and biodiversity and how a farm is run with teamwork and cooperation."
